"Think Pink" Tea Party - 10/17

It’s a Tea Party! The Cancer Resource Center at 808 Reuben Street invites all breast cancer survivors to attend a free “Think Pink” afternoon tea party Friday, October 17, from 1-4 pm. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Hill Country Memorial Health System wants to show its appreciation for the courage that cancer survivors demonstrate. The tea will initiate a project to collect uplifting survivor stories on all forms of cancer from patients, caregivers, relatives or friends who wish to participate. No RSVP is required. Light refreshments will be offered. Generous Fredericksburg merchants Sweet Pea and Showcase Antiques have donated door prizes with a tea party theme, and the Fredericksburg Herb Farm will provide non-alcoholic hibiscus/lemonade tea drinks called “Arnold Palmers.” Please encourage breast cancer survivors to come to the event.
