Pari-Mutuel Horse Racing - 7/19-20

This is the second of four weekends of live horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering at the Gillespie County Fairground's class three track. Live races feature quarter horse and thoroughbred racing as well as special races, trials and futurities. Simulcast dog and horse races are available during the live races at the Fairground's biergarten. Cost is $4 for adults, children 6 - 12 are $1 and under 6 are free. Night in Old Fredericksburg (NIOF) - 7/18-19

Night in Old Fredericksburg (NIOF) is an annual event held every year downtown at Marktplatz. A fun, family-friendly event, NIOF features great German food & drink, live German music on multiple stages, arts & crafts, kids' area, & historical exhibits.


Hours & Ticket Info: Friday Hours: 6:00 PM - Midnight. Admission: $6 (adults), $1 (children 12 & under), 2-day passes are $10 per person. Saturday Hours: 11:30 AM - Midnight. Free parking.

Youth Archery Clinic - July 17

Every Thursday from 6:30 to 8 pm in July and August learn the sport of archery at LBJ State Park Baseball Field on Highway 290 East. Bows and arrows will be supplied. Great fun for all ages. Please call 830/644-2252 for more information.
