Willow City "42" Tournament and Open House

The Willow City Community Club is sponsoring a "42" tourney and open house On Saturday August 4. Check-in for the tourney is at 12:30PM and play starts at 1:00 - 3:00PM. Entry fee is $5. Enjoy food and drinks by donation and dessert is free. This event is a fundraiser for the Willow City School Preservation Fund benefiting restoration projects. Roots Music Concert - July 28

The Roots Music Series continues at the Pioneer Museum this Saturday, July 28, with Texas Swing music. The gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 6:00 p.m. The Cornell Hurd Band and The Floyd Domino Western Swing Review will play. Gourmet Chili Pepper & Salsa Festival

Spice it up during the First Annual Chili Pepper & Salsa Fest! Sample salsas, spices, chili peppers, demonstrations, food, drinks, and great live entertainment! Molly Fowler returns to Runnymede Country Inn this week for two more fabulous cooking classes!


On Thursday, July 19, 6:30 – 9:00 PM, Molly teaches about Tantalizing Taste of Fantastic Flavors. This delicious menu will wow your guests. Baked Oysters or Mussels with Caramelized Onions; Spring Vegetable Salad with Fresh Herb Dressing; Marinated Pork Chops with Maker’s Mark Sauce; Creamy Grits; Roasted Herb Tomatoes; and Mom’s Banana Cake. $40 per person


On Friday, July 20, 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Molly will have a Back Porch Brunch. Brunch can be a easy way to entertain a crowd. Glazed Apricots with Amaretto Cream; Julianne Summer Vegetables in Herb Marinade; Sausage Egg Strudel; and Chocolate Cinnamon-swirl Buns $35 per person

Commemorative Air Force Fly-in - July 14

Fredericksburg's “Tex” Hill Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is hosting a fly-in of historic aircraft from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Gillespie County Airport, on Tivydale Road, south of town. Also on hand will be re-enactors from the National Museum of the Pacific War and vintage cars. The event is intended to honor US Service men and women. A 3'x8' banner will be available for everyone to sign, and will be presented to Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

Burgers and Blues Independence Day Celebration featuring Texas Original Artists

Fall Creek Vineyards is hosting its annual Burgers and Blues Independence Day celebration showcasing Texas Original artists.
