"Budget Meals" Cooking Class - 1/24

Fredericksburg Culinary Arts cooking class presents “Budget Meals” to teach ways to make your dollar go further in the kitchen. The class will be held this Saturday, January 10 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Fischer & Wieser’s Das Peach Haus at 1406 S. Hwy 87 in Fredericksburg. Cost for the class is $39. Quilting Demonstration - 1/17

The Gillespie County Historical Society will host a Hand Quilting Demonstration at the Pioneer Museum at 325 W. Main St. in Fredericksburg on Saturday, January 17 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The demonstration is free with regular museum admission. For information, call 830-997-2835.

Gem and Mineral Show - 1/16-17

Sponsored by The Fredericksburg Rockhounds Club. The Annual Gem and Mineral Show held at Lady Bird Johnson Park's Pioneer Pavilion on Highway 16 South features rock, gem and fossil related dealers, along with lapidary and earth science displays and demonstrations. Public Hunts at Enchanted Rock - 1/5-9 & 1/11-16

Enchanted Rock State Park will be closed to visitors this week through Friday, January 9 until 2:00 p.m. and again during the week of January 11-16 for public hunts. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is located at 16710 RR 965, 18 miles north of Fredericksburg. For information, call 830-685-3636.

"Feast of Flavors" Cooking class - 1/9

Needlework Festival - 1/3

Demonstrations of spinning and needlework at the Pioneer Museum. A special counted cross stitch workshop and book signing by Evelyn Weinheimer will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 in the Dambach Besier House. Evelyn has published her designs in Charm of Fredericksburg Counted Cross Stitch which will be available for purchase. Book Signing and Author's Talk - 1/3
