"Gone to Texas" Adventures at Pioneer Museum, 312 W. San Antonio Street, July 1 from 9 am to noon. Enjoy exciting activities for students who will be entering 3rd - 5th grades in the fall of 2008. Each day includes a craft, snack, games and hands-on educational activities. "Gone to Texas" explores the journey from Germany to Texas in 1846 and much more. The Music
Jesse Dayton kick starts the evening with his five-piece band playing two hours of "turbo country."

Dale Watson - one of "country music's last authentic voices" - brings his "Ameripolitan" style of great traditional western swing infused with a fresh energy.

The Food
Starting at 5:30 p.m., My Own Chef serves a mouthwatering buffet of meatloaf topped with tomato gravy, buttermilk mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole, all for $7. Dessert is lemon cake for $2.25. Guests can also enjoy beer, wine, soft drinks, and water.
