Marty White and Blue Clear Sky with Johnny Rodriguez at Pat's Hall - December 15

Well, Pat's Hall hasn't been able to get George Strait to return yet, so They're doing the next best thing -- getting Marty White & Blue Clear Sky to do George Strait covers along with other good dancing music. Johnny Rodriguez will join the band on some sets and sing his hit songs. So come on out with your friends! Tickets are $10 per person. Cowboy Santa at Lochte Feeds - 12/6

Pacific Combat Zone Reenactment - 12/8-9

Living History re-enactors at the Nimitz will present three shows on both Saturday and Sunday. The 90-minute shows begin at 10:30am, 1:00 and 3:30 pm each day at the Pacific Combat Zone. Visitors will learn about the American and Japanese forces as they prepare for battle on a Pacific island. Weapons will be discussed and demonstrated and later used in a final attack on the Japanese-held island. Attendees will feel the rumble of a Stewart tank as it moves past the audience and onto the battle field. The only operational WW II flame-thrower in Texas is used in the final assault. Appropriate for the entire family, admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. World War II veterans and children under six are admitted free of charge. Tickets may be purchased at the Pacific Combat Zone at the beginning of each performance or in advance at the Front Desks of the Admiral Nimitz Museum on Main Street and the George H.W. Bush Gallery on E. Austin Street.

The majority of the programs are standing room only so it’s advisable to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to show times. While 80 percent of the seating is shaded, sun screen and hats are recommended. Ear plugs will be provided. The Pacific Combat Zone’s “Ship Store” will be in full operation before, during and after each performance. In addition to various snacks, bottled water and soda, there will be an assortment of adult and youth field gear, hats and tee shirts. Children’s helmets, toy guns, army action figures and gliders will be offered for sale. Rounding out the list are photographs of the volunteer re-enactors (available for autographs, too).

Community Christmas Parade - 12/2

Annual community Christmas parade down Main Street. This is a free event for the community, and is a part of St. Nicholasmarkt in Fredericksburg. The Parade starts at 6:30 pm.

St. Nikolausmarkt - 12/7

The festival, which is free to the public, will include local foods, beer and wine, arts & crafts, and entertainment under the glow of the magnificent Christmas lights of Marktplatz.

St. Joseph's Halle Fall Craft Show - 12/8

The 27th Annual St. Joseph’s Halle Fall Craft Show will be held this Saturday, December 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the halle at 212 W. San Antonio St. (next to St. Mary’s Catholic Church) in Fredericksburg. Get a jump start on your holiday gift shopping at this show Hand crafted Christmas decor, including hand painted Fredericksburg ornaments, as well as birdhouses, sweaters, scarves and baked goods will be some of the items available at this show.   Paintings by local artists, mosaic stained glass windows, heirloom silverplate and broken china jewelry along with cowboy santas, jams, jellies, shabby chic furniture and home décor will be showcased at this event.  Beautiful hand made needlecrafts, and gemstone jewelry, will also be sold. For more information, call 512-355-9041.
