Texas Wine Tasting and Food Pairing Evening with Book Signing - 4/27

Hosted by Dr. Russell Kane and Chef Terry Thompson Anderson who will guide you through a enjoyable evening of tasting fine wines and delectable foods from Texas. The two acclaimed Texas authors will be signing their latest books, The Texas Hill Country: A Food and Wine Lover's Paradise, 2nd edition by Terry, and Russ’ The Wineslinger Chronicles: Texas on the Vine (Grover E. Murray Studies in the American Southwest), during the evening. Your hosts have collaborated to pair wines from Becker Vineyards, Grape Creek Vineyards, Messina Hof Winery, Sandstone Cellars, Texas Hills Vineyard, and Torre di Pietra Vineyards with tapas-style recipes from Terry’s book. Our Festival’s first silent auction will be held in conjunction in this event at the National Museum of the Pacific War's Ruff Haus. Event admission price of $100 includes signed copies of both author’s books. Please purchase your tickets now as attendance is limited.

Great American Landscapes National Show at Whistle Pik Galleries - 4/2 to 5/26

"We're bringing together libations, vibrations, and great Texas foods in a celebration of  these  Texas traditions at the Wildseed Farms, outside Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country. Come and join us along with lots of Texas wineries, Hill Country restaurants, and specialty food manufacturers. We’ve got Trevor La Bonte, John Arthur Martinez, Almost Patsy Cline Band, and Thomas Michael Riley providing a variety of musical genres throughout the event. The admission price of $20 includes a souvenir wine glass, seven tickets good for wine tastings, and plenty of sumptuous food samplings. Participating restaurants and food booths will have foods for sale and wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle, along with non-alcoholic beverages, souvenir T-shirts, hats and posters.  Beer is also available for purchase at the Wildseed Farms’ BrewBonnet Biergarten. What'$ It Worth? - 4/21

The appraisals will take place in the Sanctuary of the old Methodist Church on San Antonio Stree, with a cost of $10 per item. Specialized appraisers will assign a fair market value to antiques, art, glass, porcelain, clocks, guns, furnishings, lighting ,vintage jewelry (no stones) and collectables of all kinds. There will also be various repair and restoration specialists on hand to assist you with information on things like clock repair, oriental and antique carpet cleaning, art restoration and furniture repair and restoration.

Independent antique appraisers will gauge the value of your treasures and collectibles, including furniture, paintings, sculpture, art, books, textiles, silver, glass, toys, guns, knives, western and Fredericksburg memorabilia.

Food, soda, beer, water, snacks, and cookies available for purchase both days.
