Admiral Nimitz Foundation Annual Symposium - 9/20
The Admiral Nimitz Foundation’s symposium this year will take place on September 21 – 22 at the Fredericksburg Theater Company. This year’s symposium is The Military and The Media, Witnesses to War. This year's symposium is sponsored by, The Sons and Daughters of Robert P. "Bob" Scripps
This day and a half event will examine through presentations and open discussions with attendees how the media has impacted the public’s opinion and attitude towards the military and war, from World War II to the present. Sessions lead by military officials and experts in these topics include: Print Journalism, Photo-Journalism, Films and the Role of Hollywood, Radio-Television, The Media: A serviceman’s view, and finished up with a round table discussion with all presenters.

Your ticket to the symposium also includes a pass to the National Museum of the Pacific War. Books written by some of the presenters will be available for purchase and signing at the symposium.
Saturday night the Admiral Nimitz Foundation will host a cocktail reception and dinner with the panelist in the Nimitz Museum Ballroom. This is open to those attending and tickets can be purchased for an extra $40/person.
