Better Lights for Starry Nights at Enchanted Rock - 5/17
Join us for a great Hill Country Alliance Dark Sky Program. A dark night sky full of big, bright stars is important here in the Texas Hill Country just like clean rivers, scenic vistas and natural landscapes. Little by little, light by light, the magical mystery of the big Texas night sky is diminishing. But it’s not too late to reverse this trend and you can help! Join Bill Wren of the McDonald Observatory as he shares his expertise on the value and simple strategies to protect starry skies. Enjoy star gazing with Hill Country Astronomers after the program! It’s fun, free, open to the public and kids are welcome! Meet at the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area Group Pavilion 1/2 mile north of the park gate at 7:30 pm.
