Sierra Phillips-Hess Benefit Concert

Sierra Phillips-Hess, a Fredericksburg High School student, is the daughter of Valerie Phillips and Marc Hess and the granddaughter of Les and June Phillips. Sierra is battling against Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH) and is in need of a double lung transplant. PPH is a disease of unknown origin that chokes off the pulmonary artery and prevents oxygen from entering the blood, causing the heart to overwork. Sierra's family would like to invite the community to help support Sierra’s challenge of a double lung transplant by attending a benefit concert and silent auction on Wednesday, October 22 at Hondo’s. Concert performances that evening include the Cross Mountain Bluegrass band from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., followed by a special reunion of the Phillips Sisters. This vocal trio consists of Sierra’s mother, Valerie, and her aunts Vickie and Dawn. Sunshine the Clown will also be on hand for the kiddos and young at heart. The concert and silent auction will go toward Sierra’s medical expenses. Hondo’s On Main is located at 312 W. Main St., Fredericksburg. For information or to help contribute, call 830-997-8952
