Musical Stew served up at next Roots Music Concert - July 28

Guests can dig into Irish Stew while listening to a musical mix at the next Roots Music concert at the Pioneer Museum in Fredericksburg on Saturday, July 28.

Multi-Cultural Night features three bands playing an international selection of styles.

From 6:30-7:30 p.m., Rennie and the Happy Travelers start the evening off with polka. The group has performed for 40 years and played at all major German festivals in the country, including backing up accordion legend Myron Floren.

From 7:50-9:00, Rising Gael takes the stage with high-energy traditional and modern Celtic and Irish music.

Capping the event from 9:20-10:30, Lisa Morales steps with her unique brand of Americana Rock, laced with influences of Mexican, country, and folk.

From 5 p.m. until the food is gone, the Longhorn Street Cafe will serve Jagerschnitzel or Irish Stew served with cabbage, mashed potatoes, dinner roll, and peach cobbler, all for $10.

Wine, beer, sodas, and water are available for purchase. Parking is free, and guests are encouraged to bring a folding chair. All museum buildings will remain open until 7 p.m. for Roots guests.

Admission is $12. Students high school age and younger are free. A $2 discount is available for advance online ticket sales or web page printout at www.pioneermuseum.net.
