Experience a small-town Christmas in Fredericksburg, located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The weekend begins Friday, Dec. 2nd, with the Santa Claus Run at 5:30PM followed by Fredericksburg's festive Christmas parade down Main Street. The downtown Marktplatz (outdoor central square) comes alive with free family-oriented Christmas entertainment provided by the Fredericksburg Theater Company throughout the weekend, a Christmas Tree Forest, a gingerbread house contest, an expanded children's activity area, Kinderfest, authentic homemade German foods, a shopping market, displays of lighted holiday figurines and much more! Free admission.

Sunday, Dec. 4th - 12PM - 4PM
And... following is the official schedule of entertainment for this lovely holiday weekend. All shows will be held on the Glockenspiel Stage at Oktoberfest Halle at Marktplatz. All shows are under an hour in length, with 4 rotating shows. In between shows you'll be able to participate in something new to Fredericksburg this year, the Eisbahn, a unique holiday ice skating rink experience. Local residents and visitors will be able to ice skate in an open air rink, located at the Kinderhalle pavilion at Marktplatz.
