Fredericksburg High School Band Booster Turkey Dinner - 2/1

This is an annual fundraiser to benefit FISD bands held at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds - Hwy. 16 South in Fredericksburg. Dinner includes turkey, dressing, noodles, green beans, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Free concerts will be provided by FISD bands grades 6-12. Meal tickets are $9/pre-sale, $10/at the door. Meal service begins at 11 am.

Third annual event that will feature the documentary short film The One Who Builds and presentation/Q&A with co-director, Hillary Pierce.  The One Who Builds tells the story of the life and works of Dr. Omer Omer, once a Sudanese refugee, now an American citizen who is paying it forward as the director of a refugee resettlement organization in Greensboro, North Carolina.  To be held at Hoffman Haus, 608 E. Creek, and offering Pedernales Brewing Company beer, wine and sensational bites from Otto’s.  Proceeds benefit the Hill Country Film Society, sponsor of the annual Hill Country Film Festival. Jewelry Trunk Show at The Secret Garden - 1/29-30

Main Street retailer, The Secret Garden, 102 E. Main, will be hosting a jewelry trunk show by Western Vintage Revival.   Hours on Thursday will be 10 am to 5:30 pm.  Hours on Friday will be 10 am to 8 pm.  There will be an evening cocktail reception for the artist and all are welcome.  Hours on Saturday will be 10 am to 6 pm.  At 6 pm, the store will close for a private party where the public is invited for a complimentary dinner with the jewelers and to design and make your own piece of jewelry.  Please bring your own broken china to design your own custom jewelry! Art & Vino Painting Class at The Yellow Door Studio - 1/27
