The Willow City Community Club is sponsoring a "42" tourney and open house On Saturday August 4. Check-in for the tourney is at 12:30PM and play starts at 1:00 - 3:00PM. Entry fee is $5. Enjoy food and drinks by donation and dessert is free. This event is a fundraiser for the Willow City School Preservation Fund benefiting restoration projects. The Roots Music Series continues at the Pioneer Museum this Saturday, July 28, with Texas Swing music. Spice it up during the First Annual Chili Pepper & Salsa Fest! Sample salsas, spices, chili peppers, demonstrations, food, drinks, and great live entertainment! Fredericksburg's “Tex” Hill Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is hosting a fly-in of historic aircraft from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Gillespie County Airport, on Tivydale Road, south of town. Also on hand will be re-enactors from the National Museum of the Pacific War and vintage cars. The event is intended to honor US Service men and women. A 3'x8' banner will be available for everyone to sign, and will be presented to Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
